Leafpelt had finally reached the creek. She had taken a wrong turn for a short time, causing her to walk diagonally toward the moving water and taking her longer than expected, but she was there at last. Thank Starclan - or Crowpaw, or whoever really - she had a decent sense of smell and could pick up the crisp liquid, or she might have never found the place. The she-cat didn't want to admit it, but she had found it harder to retrace her steps than originally expected.
Now the patched feline was taking a moment to have a drink, her ears alert in case of danger. Wouldn't that be ironic? Finally reaching your destination only to be attacked and maybe even killed. What a feat that would be. But well deserved for such a coward... Maybe. The warrior shook out her pelt in an attempt to rid her mind of such dark thoughts. No matter what was deserved or what she had done, it was wrong to think death was a better option than trying to correct the wrongs you had made.
"Well, I best get a move on." The orange and black cat mewed under her breath as she stood once more and turned her head about to have a good look at the place. "Not bad... Not bad at all."

Not for the first time that day, Falcon picked up the smell of a cat. Something was strange about this cat however, something familiar. Figuring that it would hurt to talk to them, or it seemed, her, for a few minutes, Falcon padded towards her. Within a few moments the she-cat came into view. She didn't really seem like she belonged in the woods, perhaps she was also a traveller like Falcon. Or perhaps this was a different type of cat entirely.
As Falcon got closer, trying to not look threatening, she recognized something more about the she-cat. Wherever she had came from Falcon must of been there before. This intrigued the Maine Coon even more to talk to her.

The calicoed female hadn't gone too much farther from her resting point when the scent of another cat hit her nose. This didn't quiet surprise the feline, as she and Coyotestar had come across the scent trails of a few cats on their way to where they had been staying, but they never encountered any. Realizing the scent was getting stronger, Leafpelt came to the conclusion that it might not be the case for much longer. It seemed this other cat, now close enough to be guessed as female, was heading directly into the orange and black feline's path. Though, whether or not it was intentional, the warrior would have to wait and find out.
Leafpelt looked all around for any movement, but kept most of her attention in the direction the scent seemed to be coming from. Her yellow-green eyes were narrowed and the short fur along the back of her neck was slightly spiked. "Who's there?" The she-cat called out in an audible tone, attempting to sound confident and commanding, though not aggressive. She opened her small maw to let the scents of the area waft in more deeply. She wanted to make sure this wasn't an ambush by some unknown group of cats that found her presence unwelcome. And for a moment, Leafpelt regretted coming out here alone. Why hadn't her and Coyotestar just gone on a mass scouting trip together? Neither of them would have had to worry about such things, let alone deal with them alone on any scale.

As Falcon got closer, the she-cat revealed herself to be a calico, and one that seemed very wary to say the least. Falcon was still a good length away, it was possible that the calico might have not been able to see her, when she spoke. Falcon kept on walking for a few moments, coming into view in what must of been a blind spot for the other cat before replying. She was about 15 fox lengths away, give or take a couple. "Oh, I'm just a newcomer scouting out these woods," Falcon replied quickly, "you don't seem like your all too familiar with this place either. I'm Falcon, by the way."
Falcon really hoped she had gotten it right that the calico was new. Because otherwise the conversation would be going downhill fast. Falcon still couldn't shake the feeling that she had met someone like the cat in front of her before. Maybe a name would help refresh her memory.

Peridot colored eyes narrowed as the stranger finally came into view. She had been deeper into the brush than Leafpelt, hiding the other she-cat more so than the warrior who was simply standing among the grasses by the creek. The silver tabby was much larger than the calico, made to look even bigger by her long fur. It wasn't uncommon for most cats to be a bit bigger than Leafpelt, but it seemed this stranger might even be a tad bit larger than Coyotestar.
"I'm-" the she-warrior stopped and cleared her throat before continuing. "I'm Leafpelt. And yes, you'd be correct, I'm new here as well. I suppose it's safe to assume, then, that I'm not trespassing on your territory?" She mewed with caution, feeling relieved to see that the other she-cat appeared to be calm.
