I see that you have to post a member bio before you can post any character bios, and I was wondering a couple things.
One, do we just post member bios directly after joining the site, or is there some process to actually joining the rp?
Two, after you post a member bio, can you immediately post a character bio? And if so, does it go in pending applications, or in the proper board for the character?
Sorry if I've missed the information somewhere!

No need to be sorry! These are all understandable questions.
You can make both a Member Bio and a Character Bio at any time. However, your Character Bio will not be accepted until after you have made a Member Bio. Basic information that you think is important for people to know about you as a roleplayer is essentially all we really recommend when posting a Member Bio, although, we do ask that you include your characters (when applicable) and a roleplay sample.
You should post your Character Bio right in the Character Bios board. We will move it to the corresponding board upon acceptance. The other board is for bios that were denied for whatever reason and have not been fixed, or are being held for future situations per bio creator's request.

1: Yes. Just jot down a few things about your self, and post directly into the Member Bio board. That is really the only required thing prior to making a character and joining in on the rp fun.
2: Yes again. Once you have posted your character bio, whether or not it is finished, staff will accept it and place in its proper place. Or will ask for things to be changed to fit the role-play if necessary.

Ah, thank you for the quick responses! Wonderful, I'll get right to making a member bio, and then a character one. I really look forward to roleplaying here, I think you guys have an interesting concept going.
