Hey there! And welcome to The Starless Clans. Here you will find a list of easy-to-follow rules as well as a link to ProBoards' Terms of Service. We ask that you abide by both. Failing to do so may result in a form of punishment such as restriction from participating in the roleplay for a period of time, or being banned from the forum itself. We typically follow a three strike system, but that may vary depending on the level of offense.
ProBoards' TOS
Failing to follow this is one of the worst things you can do on this site. Reason being; if content not in compliance with PB's TOS is found on a site, that site is subject to be shut down without notice. Needless to say, I'd be a very unhappy camper.
Literacy
As I'm sure you've read many times before; this is a literate roleplay and we ask that everyone treats it as such. No, I'm not going to add a minimum word count or sentence count, just please be mindful.
Realism
SC is a very realistic roleplay. Very realistic. Because of this, certain things that wouldn't typically be allowed will be seen. But, we'er also going to be more picky about character appearances and behaviors. If it wouldn't look like that in real life, then it can't here. Likewise, items are not allowed except collars on kittypets or past kittypets.
Maturity
Since this roleplay will have some more mature themes, I felt it was necessary to state that we do not recommend anyone younger than the age of thirteen to participate. SC is to be treated with a rating of PG-13. If you would like to include a questionable theme (rape, murder, torture), please contact an Admin for permission and guidelines prior to their use.

Activity
One of the most important factors in a good roleplay are active members and Staff. The Staff will do their best to remain as active as possible, and we ask that you try to do the same. Yes, life comes first and we understand that, but please a least give us a heads up if you know you're going to be gone for a period of time.
Respect and Courtesy
If you wouldn't like someone doing/saying it to you, then don't do it to others. However, just because you'd be fine with someone doing it to you doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. If someone asks you not to, then please be considerate. If you feel like they're just being grouchy/touchy/a unicorn/iffy, then alert Staff to the situation. After all, we're here to help.
Authorities
Like it says above; the Staff are here to help, so please cooperate. We don't just say things because we can. Trust me, I won't tolerate bossy-pants riding around on their high-horse.
Member Bios
I'm not sure if this is commonly seen, but Member Bios are required in SC. Not only will they act as a convenient way to keep track of your characters, but it will also be where your roleplay sample is held. They will need to be accepted prior to a character bio being approved of.
Character Bios
Character bios are required as well. You will need to have this accepted by Staff before roleplying with it, and by the Clan leader before joining a Clan. Simply post the bio in the Character Bio board and Staff will move it to the proper Board upon acceptance.
**Please note that all characters must start out as a non-Clan cat due to the current Plot**
**You must have special permission in order to have previous Clan knowledge or relations of any sort**
Character Limits
For the time being, there is not a character limit. You can have as many cats as you can keep active. Just remember, all characters must be accepted before you can use them. This is subject to change. Based upon the need of the roleplay, we ask that your first character be 8 moons or older; your second character may be a kit if you choose. We will not accept a motherless kit into the Clan, as that just complicates things. Also, you may only obtain a Starclan cat when a character has completed it's life in the roleplay.
Random Drama
Do NOT just cause random drama... I will not have this. Yes, every roleplay needs a little umf, but let's keep things plotted and planned.
Special Permission
If in the case you would like a little drama such as a death, forbidden love, etc., then please request this. I'm not opposed to such things, I just want to keep it from getting out of hand.
Liquid Time
This is very likely to change, as we're just playing around with it to see how exactly we should do this. For the time being, all characters are allowed to be in two active threads at a time. Clan Mentors are allowed to be in three active threads; one specifically for training their apprentice, the other two for whatever. Medicine Cats and Deputies and allowed to be in four active threads, and leaders are allowed to have as many as is needed so long as they can manage things smoothly and actively.
